Antoinette M. Sharp has been an employee of the Philadelphia Department of Human Services for 34 years. She has held several positions through the years; social worker, social work supervisor, and social work administrator. For the past 12 years, she has held the position of Director of Professional Services at the Philadelphia Juvenile Justice Services Center (PJJSC), which was formerly the Youth Study Center. The PJJSC is under the Division of Juvenile Justice Services. The PJJSC is the only secure detention facility in Philadelphia with a 184-bed capacity. Antoinette is responsible to coordinate services to support juveniles held in detention at the PJJSC, that include social services, recreational programming, religious and volunteer services. She is also liaison for agencies that provide onsite medical services, behavioral health services and educational services.

Antoinette obtained her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Community Psychology from Widener University in 1982 and her Master of Social Service (MSS) in Clinical Social Work from Bryn Mawr College in 1998. She is supported by her husband, Ernest and her daughter Alexis, who is a recent college graduate from Cabrini University. She is also a pet mom to her cocker spaniel, Bella and two cats, Makayla and Thor.

In her spare time, Antoinette, is an active member of the Philadelphia Catholic Gospel Mass Choir and she volunteers at the Pennsylvania SPCA to support the efforts to rescue and care for abused and neglected animals.
