Avantor Supports Advancement of Girls Inc.’s Ongoing Mission

SHARE

We are proud to share that Girls Inc. of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey has received a grant from the Avantor Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Avantor, a leading global provider of mission-critical products and services to customers in the life sciences, advanced technologies and applied materials industries.

Committed to setting science in motion to create a better world, Avantor is supporting communities around the globe with goodness through donations amid COVID-19 and Avantor Foundation grants to advance healthcare and STEM education.

We plan to use the Avantor Foundation grant to continue inspiring our participants through our hands-on educational “Eureka!” STEM program, helping them explore their passion for the field. And, we’re grateful. The Avantor Foundation recently distributed nearly $350,000 in grants to community-based organizations, like Girls Inc., as part of its mission to create a better world by advancing science education and providing healthcare to those in need.

Separately, we have also received a donation from Avantor to help create a STEM video library to introduce high school girls to career and academic opportunities in the STEM fields.

It’s through the generosity of organizations like Avantor that these advances have the potential to make a substantial difference in the lives of the community members we serve. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Avantor and the Avantor Foundation to strengthen the pipeline of future scientists who make a difference in our world.
