Position: Eureka! Program Leader
Reports to: Eureka! Program Coordinator
Position Summary: The Eureka! program is a five-year STEM and college readiness program for 8th-12th grade girls. The Eureka! Program Leader will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Serve as Eureka! lead facilitator delivering personal development, STEM, and wellness activities.  
  • Support recruitment.

The Girls Inc. national network serves over 140,000 girls through 84 affiliates.  Girls Inc. of Greater Philadelphia & Southern New Jersey is the local affiliate serving 3,000 girls in the Greater Philadelphia region.

Responsibilities

Program Recruitment

  • Recruit and enroll rising 8th grade students annually to programs.
  • Participate in all aspects of the recruitment process including outreach, interviews, and onboarding.  

Program Implementation:

  • Partner with staff and program mentors to plan and develop program curriculum and special activities.
  • Plan and implement Girls Inc. programs for all participants.
  • Represent Girls Inc.  in community activities.

Evaluation

  • Responsible for gathering and collecting data including but not limited to demographic information and pre-and post-evaluations.
  • Provide feedback on program curriculum, events, and partnerships.

Qualifications

  • High levels of professional effectiveness, collaboration, integrity, optimism, and high energy.
  • Experience working with middle school and high school youth.
  • Flexibility in hours, including some evening and weekend assignments. Hours are 15-25 a week depending on program needs.
  • Bachelor’s degree or college student with a minimum 2 years work experience with youth.

Compensation is $15.00 per hour.
