Lisa is the Site Support Coordinator for Girls Inc. of Greater Philadelphia & Southern New Jersey. Lisa is originally from Philadelphia by the way of North Carolina and has been working in Early Childhood and Youth Advocacy & Mentorship programs for over 15 years. She has a Bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies (African Women Studies) with a concentration in Elementary ED and a minor in Special Education with a certification in Early Childhood from Bennett College for Women in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Lisa is a first-time mother of a young boy and loves to spend as much time with him as possible. When not together, she enjoys traveling, writing poetry, and bowling. Lisa is an individual who loves what she does and has a passion for her work, but most of all the children and youth she encounters. Her motivation each day is the smiles, excitement, energy, and the students’ desire to learn and the determination they demonstrate.
Lisa’s way of teaching and providing support is hands-on, fun-filled, and animated in practice, but she is also very structured, loving, caring, and nurturing. Lisa’s goal in the Support Services role is to plant the seeds of education, support them, and give them the foundation of possibility and watch them grown and prosper into their full potential.
