Rain recently graduated from Temple University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts. During her undergraduate studies, Rain has interned with Puentes de Salud, teaching literacy skills to English Language Learners at the elementary level. Pursuing her passion to educate and guide adolescents, she is continuing to study at Temple, completing her Master’s degree in Secondary Education.
Rain started working with Girls Inc. as an intern in her last semester of undergrad. She taught programs that highlighted adolescent development and leadership. She will now continue her journey with Girls Inc. working with our Ambassador Club. Here she will be guiding high school students to enhance the skills they’ve gained from Girls Inc. and begin post-secondary career exploration as well as think about how to create social change.
Her past and present life experiences allowed Rain to appreciate the range education allows. Rain believes education goes beyond the Common Core standards, and is vital to the growth and development of our world’s youths. She considers herself a child advocate. Rain loves Girls Inc. and their mission to extend lessons of life skills to the community of Philadelphia and South New Jersey. Her favorite thing is seeing the girl’s smiles when they know it’s time for a Girls Inc. lesson!
