Sandy Pfeffer is a Managing Director in the Advisory practice of Deloitte & Touche LLP.  She has over 20 years of experience providing comprehensive advisory services to companies in the financial services industry.  Her experience is in providing comprehensive advisory services to companies that are evaluating and executing transformational activities or large complex transactions.  Anchored with her significant SEC and technical experience, Sandy provides full-range advisory services to entities adopting new accounting standards, preparing for M&A transactions and resolution and recovery planning.  Services include: finance automation and transformation, governance, process and data internal controls, as well as analyzing accounting application on various topics, including loans, allowance for loan loss, mortgage servicing rights, leases and financial instruments.

Sandy spent time in Deloitte & Touche LLP’s national office, working both in SEC Services and the Accounting Consultation.  Sandy is a designated subject-matter resource in the area of financial instruments (“FI-SMR”).  Additionally, Sandy is the leader of the credit specialist group, which is a group of subject matter resources who have significant experience in credit modeling to support the ALLL methodology for banks and other financial institutions.

Sandy is a leader within Deloitte’s Women’s Initiative (WIN), specifically leading WIN in Philadelphia, and active in women’s activities in the community.  She serves as the Impact Committee chair for the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey’s Women’s Initiative Leadership Committee.  In 2013, Sandy was recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal’s as one of the regions 40 Under 40.

Sandy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  Sandy holds a B.B.A. in accounting from Temple University and is a certified public accountant licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
