Shavonne Dickerson is a proud Neumann University graduate, where she majored in criminal justice. During this time, Shavonne was afforded the opportunity to complete the “Inside Out Prison Exchange Program” with Chester County Prison, receiving certificates of excellence and achievement upon completion. While completing her undergraduate studies, she founded a club for women called “Pleasantly Plump” that tackled issues such as body positivity, healthy relationships, networking, post-secondary planning, and wellness. This initiative cultivated a sisterhood of 55 members during the two years she served as president.
Allowing her passion for people and serving underprivileged communities to continue to ignite her path, she secured a two-year internship with Girls Inc. from 2014-2016, serving as a Lead Program Facilitator at the Philadelphia Juvenile Justice Services Center. Upon graduation, she secured a position as a Behavioral Health Support Specialist for children. In 2018, Shavonne allowed her acquired skill set, experience, and knowledge to lead her to Developmental Enterprise Corporations where she served as a Residential Supervisor over the Woodland Residence group home. Shavonne’s proven track record of dedication and commitment to the lives of others is evident in the level of care and service she prides herself in providing, as she is invested in securing the overall well-being of others.
In her free time, Shavonne enjoys reading novels, baking, crocheting, catching up with friends and family, and listening to music. She has one sister, one brother, and a dog named Hova!
