Position: Training and Partnership Development Coordinator – NJ
Responsible To: Director of Programs and Community Engagement
Position Summary:  This is a new and exciting position designed to lead our Statewide Training and Partnerships in New Jersey. In the fall of 2021, Girls Inc., supported by the NJ Department of Children and Families, will launch the New Jersey Partners in Action Advocacy Coalition (NJPAAC). NJPAAC is a Community of Practice that connects, supports and coaches youth serving organizations on how to develop girl-led and informed leadership/advocacy initiatives within their respective communities. The Coordinator of Trainings and Partnership Development:

  • Serves as lead and the primary Girls Inc. liaison for the NJPAAC initiative, building community and public support and developing meaningful partnerships.
  • Develops and implements Girls’ Leadership Symposia.
  • Develops/facilitates Leadership & Advocacy implementation trainings, and quarterly meetings to partners.

Partnership Development & Outreach

  • Researches partners, identifies key sectors and industry leaders, and generates interest in NJPAAC, trainings, and annual symposia.
  • Creates a systematic, process-driven approach to partner outreach and relationship management.
  • Initiates new community partnerships and maintains relationships to help reach identified goals for NJPAAC initiative.

Program Development

  • Responsible for working collaboratively to develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Works with the marketing and program staff to prepare marketing and public relations materials for recruitment.
  • Acts as a point of contact and builds relationships with community partners to support engagement efforts.
  • Maintains and prepares appropriate records of membership, demographics, and participation.

Training and Technical Support

  • Works closely with community organizations, local leaders, and other stakeholders to identify local needs and promote opportunities for collaboration.
  • Maps out training plans and schedules, designing and developing training programs.
  • Develops and implements Leadership & Advocacy best practices trainings for NJ Partners.
  • Creates trainings and resources which support and advance the girls’ leadership programs with a focus on Mentorship, Leadership & Advocacy.
  • Responsible for gathering and collecting program partner data.
  • Creates an evaluation system and metrics to measure the success of programs, trainings, and partnership experience.


  • Passionate about the mission and vision of Girls Inc.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with diverse populations
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills and time management skills
  • Proven experience in one or more of the following: partnership development and management, program development, and training and implementation
  • Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and Web Searches
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • At least 4 years of experience in Program and Partnership development
  • Bachelors degree in Psycho/Social Sciences, Education, Business Administration, Communications, or other related field
  • Superior project management skills, including organization and detail orientation and the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks efficiently
  • Knowledge of New Jersey counties, communities, organizations, and resources

This is a full-time position with a competitive benefits package.
Salary Range: $45,000 – $59,000 based on experience.
