Brionna Pendleton

In 2017, Brionna earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a second major in psychology from Temple University. In the fall of 2016, she joined Girls Inc. as an intern and fell in love with the mission. As an intern, she began the Rising STARS Program, a leadership and community action project for middle school girls. This program is made possible through support and mentorship from the Temple Law Alumni Association’s Women’s Leadership Initiative. Though this program only began with 10 girls enrolled, Brionna’s leadership has grown the program to serve nearly 50 girls annually.

Brionna was then hired as a full-time employee. Since joining the Girls Inc. staff, Brionna’s focus has been developing our relationships with school, university, and corporate partners across the bridge in Camden, New Jersey. Since fall 2017, we have served six schools, over 450 girls in grades K-9th with a focus on leadership, STEM, and early grade literacy, and have partnered with 6 companies to provide career explorations.

Brionna is originally from the Lehigh Valley, but is happy to call Philadelphia her new home. She loves to travel whenever she can and has a goal of vising all 50 states and every continent. She is committed to education, being an advocate, and inspiring girls and women. She hopes that over the course of her career and life that she can continue embracing her skills to better the community.
