Position: Bold Futures Program Specialist – Camden, NJ
Reports To: School & Community Relations Manager
Type: Full-Time
Position Summary:  Bold Futures addresses peer and social protective factors for violence and provides participants with the guidance, support, and skills to be engaged in school, and build healthy relationships with peers and family.

Responsibilities

General Responsibilities

  • Implement and facilitate Girls Inc.’s programs focused on safety and violence reduction.
  • Identify, recruit, and retain Bold Futures students at assigned schools.
  • Plan and execute special events such as: field trips, guest speakers, and family engagement sessions.
  • Foster relationships with school/site administrators and teaching staff.
  • Communicate directly with parents/caregivers to encourage program participation.
  • Work with program mentors to ensure the successful development of mentee/mentor relationships.
  • Maintain records to track program activities and outcomes; generate written reports as required.
  • Identify and establish relationships with community resources supporting violence prevention and intervention.
  • Act in accordance with Girls Inc. policies and procedures; practice the duties and responsibilities of a mandated reporter.
  • Support the delivery of other Girls Inc. programs where needed.

Required Skills/Experience

  • Two or more years of experience working with a diverse population of students, preferably in a school setting.
  • Must be available on-site in after-school setting during the academic year and on-site in camp setting during the summer.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual preferred but not required (Spanish/English).
  • BA/BS in Social Work or a closely related field (e.g., gender and women studies, sociology, psychology, education, and criminal justice).
  • Must submit up-to-date clearances(FBI criminal, Child Abuse History Verification, and State criminal).

Hours per week:  35 hours/week
Location: Hybrid work schedule. Must be able to commute to Girls Inc. at the Bok Building (South Philadelphia) and other school-based locations as required (Camden, NJ)
Compensation:  The salary for this position is $47,500. We offer full-time employees comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, 403B retirement plan, and Paid Time Off.
