Position: Site Director – Out-of-School Time (OST) Programs
Reports To: Deputy Director/ Director of Programs
Type: Full-Time
Position Summary: This position oversees the implementation of one of the Girls Inc. Out-of-School Time (OST) programs, funded by the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Children and Families. Responsible for the development, leadership, and execution of a high quality and structured after-school and summer program for students in K-8th Grades. This program currently takes place daily after school at Heston elementary, but location is subject to change.

Responsibilities
Program Management and Development
- Oversees the compliance and day-to-day management of Girls Inc.’s Out of School Time Program, in accordance with School District, State, and Federal regulations
- Supervises the Site Director, Support Services Coordinator, and Group Leaders to ensure that participants receive a quality program that is engaging and developmentally appropriate, Monday-Friday; 3:00-6:00pm (academic year) and 8:00am-4:30pm (6 weeks during the summer or as outlined by funder).
- Responsible for the recruitment, retention, supervision, and documentation of program participants.
- Responsible for the recruitment, retention, scheduling, and supervision of staff.
- Plans, schedules, and implements structured high-quality OST programs by ensuring program is developmentally and culturally appropriate, educational, physical and emotional safety for students and staff.
- Establishes performance standards and complete performance reviews; coach, document and recognize quality performance and support for direct reports.
- Reviews weekly lesson plans with the program team prior to delivery.
- Develops a system to communicate regularly with families, administrators, teachers, and volunteers.
- Participates and assists in the facilitation of OST team meetings, conferences, in-service training program and family nights.
Reporting & Evaluation
- Creates and implements procedures to track program documentation: longs, attendance, records, surveys, etc. for purposes of evaluation/reports. Generates written reports as required.
- Collects, enters, and tracks program data in database including demographics and program hours.
Additional Responsibilities
- Fosters relationships with school/site administrators and teaching staff to enhance and develop a collaborative work plan.
- Oversees the planning and coordination of special projects, events, presentations, and outings.
- Attends events that support the organization’s mission.
- Performs other duties as requested by supervisor.
Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience working with a diverse population of students, preferably in a school setting.
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Working towards or has Associate/Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, human services, or a related field.
- Must submit up-to-date clearances (FBI criminal, Child Abuse History Verification, and State criminal).

Location: Hybrid work schedule. Must be able to commute to Girls Inc. at the Bok Building (South Philadelphia). Must be able to report to daily after school program and summer program site as contracted.
Compensation: $50,000-$55,000. We offer full-time employees comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, 403B retirement plan, and Paid Time Off.
