Position: Site Supervisor — OST Howe
Type: Full-Time
Position Summary: This position assists with the daily operations of Girls Inc.’s Out-of-School Time (OST) Program, funded by the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Children and Families. Responsible for the development, leadership, and execution of a high quality and structured after-school and summer program for students in K-5th grades. This program takes place daily after school at Julia Ward Howe Elementary School, but that location is subject to change.

Responsibilities
Program Facilitation and Development
- Assists with the recruitment of 48- 55 youth, specifically those considered high risk, to participate in daily after-school programs.
- In partnership with the Site Director lead the daily operation of the after-school program, ensuring that activities are implemented according to program requirements.
- Supervises and provides guidance to after-school staff, including group leaders; ensuring staff are following procedures, curricula and maintaining a positive and supportive environment for children.
- Leads, plans, and organizes age-appropriate educational, recreational, and enrichment activities. Ensure that staff adapt activities based on children’s interests, needs, and developmental levels.
- Works in collaboration with school administration, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination between the after-school program and school activities.
- Ensures that all program activities comply with licensing, health, safety, and program policies.
- Participates and assists in the facilitation of OST team meetings, conferences, in-service training program and family nights.
- Assists in planning, scheduling, and implementation of structured high-quality OST program that aligns with PA and funder standards.
Reporting & Evaluation
- Produces written reports on program outcomes as required by funder or supervisor.
- Improves programs based on evaluation results and best practices, identifying areas for program support, growth, and expansion.
- Assists in collecting, entering, and tracking program data in database including demographics and program hours.
Additional Responsibilities
- Attends events that support the organization’s mission.
- Assists in the planning and coordination of special projects, events, presentations, and outings.
- Performs other duties as requested by supervisor.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience working with a diverse population of students, preferably in a school setting.
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Must submit up-to-date clearances(FBI criminal, PA Child Abuse History Verification, and PA State criminal).

Compensation: $45,000; We offer full-time employees comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, 403b retirement plan, and Paid Time Off.
Location: Hybrid work schedule. Must be able to commute to Girls Inc. at the Bok Building (South Philadelphia). Must be able to report to daily after-school program and summer program site as contracted.
