Position: Site Supervisor – Out-of-School Time (OST) Programs
Reports To: Site Director – Out-of-School Time (OST) Programs
Type: Full-Time
Position Summary:  This position supports the implementation of one of the Girls Inc. Out-of-School Time (OST) programs, funded by the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Children and Families. Responsible for the development, leadership, and execution of a high quality and structured after-school and summer program for students in K-8th Grades. This program currently takes place daily after school at Howe Elementary, but location is subject to change.

Responsibilities

Program Facilitation and Development

  • Assists with the recruitment of 48-55 youth, specifically those considered high risk, to participate in daily after-school programs.
  • In partnership with the Site Director, lead the daily operation of the afterschool programs, ensuring that activities are implemented according to program requirements.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to afterschool staff, including group leaders; ensuring staff are following procedures, curricula, and maintaining a positive and supportive environment for children.
  • Lead, plan, and organize age-appropriate educational, recreational, and enrichment activities. Ensure that staff adapt activities based on children’s interests, needs, and developmental levels.
  • Work in collaboration with school administration, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination between the afterschool program and school activities.
  • Ensure that all program activities comply with licensing, health, safety, and program policies.

Reporting & Evaluation

  • Produces written reports on program outcomes as required by funder or supervisor.
  • Improves programs based on evaluation results and best practices, identifying areas for program support, growth, and expansion.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Attends events that support the organization’s mission.
  • Performs other duties as requested by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience working with a diverse population of students, preferably in a school setting.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Must submit up-to-date clearances (FBI criminal, Child Abuse History Verification, and State criminal).

Location: Hybrid work schedule. Must be able to commute to Girls Inc. at the Bok Building (South Philadelphia). Must be able to report to daily after school program and summer program site as contracted.
Compensation: $45,000. We offer full-time employees comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, 403B retirement plan, and Paid Time Off.
