Gianna Cassell
Gianna is the Youth Violence Prevention Specialist at Girls Inc. of Greater Philadelphia & Southern New Jersey. With over a decade of experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds, Gianna is deeply committed to advocacy, mentorship, and creating safe, supportive environments where young people can thrive. Understanding that youth need guidance, encouragement, and resources to reach their full potential, she has dedicated her career to empowering young people and ensuring they have the tools to overcome challenges.
Gianna has a background in Psychology and Childhood Studies. Her knowledge spans Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy, Safety Care Crisis Prevention, Child Development, and Youth Counseling. As a mentor, she has led impactful programs focused on resilience, conflict resolution, and personal growth. Gianna’s approach is rooted in cultural sensitivity and trauma-informed care, ensuring that every young person feels valued and supported.
Faith plays a role in Gianna’s life, shaping her dedication to service, compassion, and empowerment. She believes that through mentorship, education, and strong community connections, lasting change is possible.
Outside of work, Gianna enjoys writing, reading, meeting new people, learning about different cultures, being involved at church, listening to music, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
