Lori Garber, Esq.
Lori Garber is Of Counsel at Belluck Law, LLP, a national, award-winning firm based in New York City with offices across the Northeast, that specializes in asbestos litigation and personal injury. Since graduation from Temple Law School, over 30+ years ago, Lori has worked tirelessly helping people injured by asbestos. Her focus has always been to make a difference to those who needed someone on their side, to fight for what is right, and to bring justice for her clients and their families. She started her career in 1988, when she clerked for the Honorable Sandra Mazer Moss, the asbestos program director in Philadelphia.
Lori is very committed to community issues and has been involved with a variety of causes over the years. Her focus is empowerment of girls and the advancement of women and girls into leadership positions. She has been a board member of Girls, Inc. of Greater Philadelphia & Southern New Jersey since 2018 and board chair since 2021. She was a mentor to the Rising Stars, Girls Inc.’s program for middle school-age girls, starting in 2016.
Lori is a member of the Temple Law Alumni Association (TLAA) and has served on its Executive Committee since 2013. Lori also Co-Chaired and was lead organizer of Temple Law Day in 2018. Previously, for several years, she was Co-Chair of the TLAA Women’s Leadership Initiative Committee (WLI). Working to expand WLI’s mission, Lori created a partnership with Girls, Inc. and WLI to become mentors to the Rising Stars.
She was honored to receive the Temple Law Alumni Association’s Women’s Champion Award in 2016. Lori has been a member and active participant in the Louis D. Brandeis Law Society and a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, and she is currently active with Jewish Family Services of Margate, NJ, and is a member of the Ventnor Business Association.
As part of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, South Jersey Chapter, Lori co-chaired, created, planned, and organized Confronting Gun Violence in America, a roundtable event held in December 2018 with over 70 attendees with special remarks by Bill Castner, Senior Advisor on Firearms to New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy.
Lori lives and has raised her two sons Noah and Stone in South Jersey with her husband Andrew. Lori’s commitment to serving the girls and young women of Girls Inc. empowering them to be leaders will continue beyond her term as chair of the board.
