Cherice Gordon, MS Ed.(she/her)

Cherice Gordon is the Associate Director of Programs & Advocacy at Girls Inc. of Greater Philadelphia & Southern New Jersey. She is responsible for the quality assurance of programs including assisting with the management of program development, overseeing evaluation and tracking program impact.

In 2007, Cherice received her Bachelor of Science from Temple University where she majored in Public Health with a specific interest in women and girls’ health. Cherice joined the organization shortly after completing Girls Inc. of Greater Philadelphia & Southern New Jersey’s internship program as a senior in college. During her time at the organization, she has served as a Program Specialist and the Education & Outreach Coordinator. She has invested her time in cultivating school-based partnerships and assisting the Director of Programs & Community Engagement with building quality and intentional programs for girls. Her passion resides in growing and expanding the Operation SMART program within the Philadelphia community. Under her leadership, the organization’s Operation SMART program provides over 500 girls in K-12th grades with annual STEM academic and career exploration opportunities in varying fields. Cherice is now a National Girls Inc. Operation SMART Trainer.

As the Associate Director of Programs & Advocacy, she works in collaboration with the Director of Programs and Community Engagement to establish community and corporate partnerships, train interns and staff, and leads the initiative on program evaluation — spearheading the implementation of TraxSolutions8 and the Strong, Smart and Bold Outcome Measurement Survey. She will also launch and oversee the expansion of the organization’s local advocacy coalition initiatives.

Cherice is committed to inspiring youth to pursue their educational and professional goals. She works collaboratively with staff, families, and community members to create enriching experiences for youth.

In 2017, Cherice graduated from Saint Joseph’s University with her Master of Science in Education with a specific passion for continuing the development of STEM/leadership initiatives for youth, and training partners on how to effectively facilitate quality and intentional programming.
