In December, Discovery and BOLD Futures girls got hands-on STEM experience with K’NEX. Our first through third graders celebrated diversity at a festive tea party with The Black Doll Affair. In January, nearly 80 girls participated in a Day of Service in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. and built “little libraries” for local schools and communities in partnership with The Carpenters’ Apprentice School, The Finishing Trades Institute, and GEM Mechanical Services, Inc.
