Position: Bold Futures Program Facilitator – Philadelphia
Reports To: School & Community Relations Manager
Type: Part-Time
Position Summary:  Bold Futures addresses peer and social protective factors for violence and provides participants with the guidance, support, and skills to be engaged in school, and build healthy relationships with peers and family.

Responsibilities

General Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute special events and projects including field trips, guest speakers, and family engagement sessions.
  • Communicate directly with parents/caregivers to promote, support, and encourage participation in programs.
  • Work with program mentors to ensure the development of healthy mentee/mentor relationships.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a high quality and safe program.
  • Maintain accurate records to track activities, outcomes, participation, progress, and status of individual students; generate written reports as required.
  • Support the delivery of other Girls Inc. programs where needed.

    Required Skills/Experience

    • Two or more years of experience working with a diverse population of students, preferably in a school setting.
    • Must be able to work after school (2-6pm) and some Saturdays for approx. 10-12 hours per week.
    • Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Bilingual preferred but not required (Spanish/English)
    • Must submit COVID-19 vaccination card.
    • Working towards or has Associate/Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, human services, or a related field.
    • Must submit up-to-date clearances (FBI criminal, Child Abuse History Verification, and State criminal).

    Hours per week:  10-12 hours, Afternoons and some Saturdays as agreed with supervisor
    Location: Hybrid work schedule. Must be able to commute to Girls Inc. at the Bok Building (South Philadelphia) and other school-based locations as required (Philadelphia)
    Compensation: $18/hour; Part-time employees are eligible for paid sick leave.
